Garden Pond Enchantment
Garden Pond Enchantment
Inspired by an outing at Kawaguchiko Lake during the Sakura season, I happened upon a beautiful little garden pond with a few Koi in it. The blooms were just starting in the mountainy area and a few whole blooms fell into the pond. I knew I had to paint the scene. It was peaceful, enchanting, and meditative.
“Garden Pond Enchantment” evokes key symbolic elements of Japanese culture that are found in the everyday moment and outing. Ponds are a beautiful way to landscape and inspire slowness, thoughtfulness, and peace. This painting is a reminder that little moments and beginnings can be enchanting.
