This piece is inspired by the special close-up views I enjoy when viewing the cherry blossoms. It is loosely based on the smaller “Emerging Beauty” painting.

I wanted to portray the delicate details of a Sakura blossom and rich colors of the bark in a larger format to make a bolder statement. This piece is a lovely balance of grounding, earthy tones, and refreshing, lively whites and pops of pink that is often see as a Sakura blossom nears losing their petals.
