Restful Reflection
Restful Reflection
Inspired by a rain puddle reflection and fallen petals, I created this piece as a more abstract way to think about and see the cherry blossoms.
“Restful Reflection” has depth of color and meaning. With the sky reflection and Sakura trees in full bloom, we are looking down and seeing sky. We observe petals at different stages of decay in the water, and floating on top. Like confetti or snow, the cherry blossoms fall and scatter. Most shrivel up in a day or two.
This moment of reflection invites us to ponder change, pause, and how being at rest can be both beautiful and a point of transition to new paths.
