From my new work, "Refining Trial" is 24x24 inch, oil on wood panel. 2017. This is one of the few wildfires I've painted with beautiful purples! I love this near--twilight scene of a raging fire. It reminds me that our biggest challenges in life are sometimes the ones that really make us stronger and make us who we are today. Our challenges refine us to be more resilient, hopeful, courageous, and strong among many other attributes.
