From my new work this past year, "Living Light" is 5x7 inch, oil on wood panel. 2017. This piece has iridescent paint on the base layers and can be seen subtly through the smoke. While this piece does not show blue skies, or a faithful sun, the iridescent light in places eludes to sunlight ever present no matter nature's fury. "Living Light" speaks of holding on to light to live through our "wildfires" with hope and courage.
