From my new collection created this year, "Firmly Rooted" is 5x7 inch, oil on wood board. I love the earthy tones of this piece. This wildfire is based off a North Carolina fire a few years ago. This soft and subtle piece reminds me of fall time and the fire season nearing the end. The smoke in this scene is ever so gentle, soft, and slowly rolling off the hillside. A passive reminder of the changes we face in life can be beautiful and meaningful experiences.
