This solemn wildfire at dusk gives me pause to think about transitions. Transition from day to night, transition in the landscape when a fire burns, and transition from billowing sharp smoke to soft wisps. The transitions we each go through, even daily, can be difficult, but beautiful and sometimes over-looked. Small steps, moments, hours, days, lead to greater things.

The title was inspired by the Hymn, “Abide with Me; Tis Eventide” and is a reminder that Christ has experienced all our pains and sorrows and will be with us as we go through our darkest nights and challenges.
